Hi, I’m Emma.

I completed my PhD in early 2019 and I am a sessional lecturer, tutor and research assistant at Deakin University and the University of Melbourne (Melbourne, Australia).

My research focuses on postfeminism, contemporary texts for young people, sex ed and consent, and feminism online.

I teach a number of university courses in gender and sexuality studies, children’s literature and digital media disciplines and I have a strong passion for teaching and empowering students.

I am interested in all things feminism, literature, digital media, pop culture, veganism, music, and social politics. This blog is used for my teaching practice, and as a space for me to explore all of these things, and more!
